Climbing and boulder park

The family climbing and bouldering park on Alp Trida is a new summer offer in Samnaun. Idyllically located at the Milbach, 9 boulders and a climbing crag await, and each one can be tackled on various routes – ideal terrain for beginners and experts alike. The 'Grill & Chill' zone invites you to relax and play. Safety equipment can be hired at Alp Trida in the ski building, `where` griddled sausages and drinks are also available to purchase. The entrance to the climbing park is right at the valley station for the Flimsattelbahn N1. Scooters with chunky tyres are also available to hire, these are excellent for speedy down-hilling on the two flow trails `from` the Viderjoch and Alp Trider Sattel. The starting point for the flow trails is conveniently accessible by chair lift.

Competition

Summer 2020: The via ferrata on the Flimspitz is closed due to the risk of falling rocks.

Those who like a slightly greater challenge can try the two via ferrata on the Flimspitz and Greitspitz. The starting point for the easy via ferrata on the Flimspitz (mainly difficulty A/B, one point B/C) is at Viderjoch near the top station of the Flimsattelbahn N1. The via ferrata at the Greitspitz with the impressive summit cross is more demanding (difficulty B/C, depending on the route to D). From the top station of the Flimsattelbahn N1 you can reach the start of this via ferrata in about 20 minutes on foot.

Finally, there is an alpine route (T4) over the Bürkelkopf with some exposed sections which have no safety devices. The view `from` the Bürkelkopf is grandiose; with good visibility one sees the Finsteraarhorn in the Bernese Oberland, about 180 kilometres west of Samnaun.
