Be assured that we will do everything we can to protect both your health and our employees and at the same time make sure that you will have a great vacation. We will continuously train our employees and implement all mandatory and recommended measures by the BAG (Federal Office of Public Health, Switzerland). We are happy to answer the most frequently asked questions about hotel stays during Corona times below. Please note that we reserve the right to adapt the measures to current requirements at any time. From Saturday, October 17th, 2020, the Graubünden cantonal government has made it mandatory for people aged 12 and over to wear a mask in publicly accessible interiors until December 15th, 2020.

Is the indoor pool and sauna area open?

The indoor pool, the sauna area as well as the fitness studio are open to hotel guests. According to the requirements of the BAG, the number of people is limited. But since our spa area is very spacious with over 1500m2, it is quite easy to keep your distance from other guests.

Are there massages and cosmetic treatments?

Under special protective measures we can offer you massages as well as all cosmetic treatments. For all treatments, our practitioners wear a face mask. Before and after each guest the hands as well as chairs and all materials are disinfected. Mouth and nose protection has been mandatory for guests here since October 17th. We are happy to have some ready.

Are the restaurants and bar open?

Our half-board restaurant and the à la carte restaurant “La Pasta”, including the terrace, will be open from June 11, 2020. We reserve the right to open our “La Miranda” gourmet lounge a little later. Due to the distance rules, there are a little less tables available than usually, so that we will use all of our restaurants for breakfast and dinner (also half board) if the booking situation will require it. The “La Pasta” restaurant is also open to non-hotel guests. We recommend to reserve a table in advance. The Natioli Lounge is also open until midnight, but we kindly ask all guests to use the bar stools, it is not allowed to stand at the bar in order to keep the distance to other guests. The distance rules also apply at the Lobby as well as the Hotel bar. Overall, the Chasa Montana offers a lot of restaurant places, so that there will be hardly any restrictions for our guests. The government has put a mask-wearing obligation in publicly accessible indoor rooms into force for persons aged 12 and over until December 15, 2020. In the ZEGG restaurants (including hotels & bars) the mask-wearing obligation for guests sitting at a table does not apply.

Are there any buffets?

Buffets are still allowed if they follow the appropriate measures for hygiene and distance conditions. We will continue to provide you with our generous breakfast buffet with over 130 largely regional products. We will constantly reassess the situation and reserve the right to stop buffets if we can no longer guarantee the hygiene and clearance rules. But be assured that we will spoil you with culinary delights at all times and that you will be spoiled with innovative and new ideas even without buffets. We temporarily refrain from salad buffets in the evening, we are happy to serve salads to your table. Mouth and nose protection is mandatory for guests.

How does the stay change in general? What do you have to consider as a guest?

We try everything to implement the measures accordingly without having to restrict them significantly. We ask you to adhere to the hygiene and distance rules communicated in the hotel, as well as the obligation to wear a mask in public indoor areas for people aged 12 and over, in order to protect your and our health. Please wash and disinfect your hands regularly and keep a distance of 2 meters from people who do not live in your household. Please also understand that some services have been adapted to avoid unnecessary contacts. (e.g. parking service, luggage service, minibar etc.) We will inform you directly at check-in about the current measures and whether anything needs to be considered for you.

Is there a mask requirement for guests?

Yes! Since Saturday, October 17th, 2020, the cantonal government of Graubünden has made it mandatory for people aged 12 and over to wear a mask in publicly accessible interiors until December 15th, 2020. We ask you to keep a distance of 1.5 meters from other guests and our employees or to keep close contacts short. A mask is compulsory on public transport, including on the cable cars!

Are there any restrictions in the environment that have to be considered?

In Samnaun itself there are no restrictions - on the contrary: Maybe in summer 2020 of all, Samnaun will be the ideal place for a retreat with its diverse and expansive nature of the Graubünden mountains, playing with your children on meadows and forest clearings and enjoying a picnic by the rushing stream, instead of raging in crowded amusement parks and filling the breaks with fast food? Perhaps it is time to discover the mountains with their numerous natural beauties on an e-mountain bike or with hiking shoes and to listen to the marmots on the remote alpine meadows? At ZEGG Hotels & in Samnaun we can offer you all of this - with distance and hygiene measures! Please note, however, that the borders will remain closed until 15th of June, accordingly arrival is only possible via Switzerland until than. However, the government has made it mandatory for people aged 12 and over to wear a mask in publicly accessible indoor spaces until December 15, 2020. This also applies in ZEGG shops.

Until when can I cancel free of charge?

Valid for the winter season

To secure your reservation, we ask you to make a deposit of 30% of the agreed room price by debiting your credit card (we ask that you provide the credit card number with its expiry date) or by bank transfer.

Cancellation policy:

  • Cancellation up to 14 days before arrival is free of charge.
  • 14 to 8 days before arrival: 30% of the agreed room price.
    NEW additionally: We convert this 30% into a voucher immediately after payment, which you can redeem in full at a later date. (The new regulation up to 7 days before arrival also applies from December 26, 2020 to January 2, 2021)
  • 7 days to 1 day before arrival: 70% of the agreed room price. 
    NEW additionally (but not for bookings between December 26th, 2020 to January 2nd, 2021): We convert these 70% into a voucher immediately after payment, which you can redeem in full at a later date.
  • from 1 day before arrival / late arrival / early departure: 100% of the agreed room price
Travel insurance you never know! We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance so that you can look forward to your vacation with peace of mind. Please contact your insurance agency for this.

Preview of the 2020/21 winter season - protection concept

We will start the ski season on December 11, 2020 - the preparations are in full swing in the Silvretta Arena Samnaun-Ischgl, especially with regard to the protection concepts for Covid 19. What has already worked this summer and autumn applies to us here: We consistently implement the prescribed measures of the BAG and the protection concept of Hotellerie Suisse in order to offer our guests and employees a safe stay.
