El Rico

The ‘Silvretta Vitaleum’ is a little world of its own, designed according to the principles of Feng Shui, equipped according to the latest findings and solely geared towards making your holiday a holistic and harmonious experience. And the best thing about it is that all of the facilities indicated here apart from the solarium are included in the price you pay as one of our guests.

Vitaleum Feng Shui shop: Go on and take a bit of your holiday back home with you. In our shop you’ll find all our cosmetic products, relaxation CDs, Danish candles, aromas, essential oils, fragrance lamps, literature, bathrobes, terry cloth slippers, incense and healing stones, etc.

Engadin earth sauna (90-100 °C)

The unique combination of enjoyment from a classic, Finnish sauna and the charm and romanticism of a traditional Engadin parlour made of untreated high mountain timber.

To take just one detail: the tiled stove with hand-painted tiles has been kept in the dark red which typifies the Engadin region.

The sauna itself is located a few steps outdoors, so after a hot session in the sauna you can cool yourself off in the glittering snow –in the old, classic way. And while you’re taking your sauna you can enjoy views of the fascinating Samnaun mountains through two windows.

Laconium

Way back in time the patricians of Ancient Rome also used to love this bath because of the outstanding purging and detoxification properties it offers as a result of the radiant heat.

At 60 °C of radiant heat you slowly begin to sweat after about 15 minute.

Now it’s time for a cold shower. Direct the jet of water over your legs, arms and back of your neck... before long you’ll start to get a marvellous tingly feeling. You can repeat this process after a further 20 minutes. Your circulation will be stimulated and you’ll feel completely rejuvenated.

Rock crystal grotto – Ottoman steam bath

The powerful though at the same time gentle vibrations of rock crystal can penetrate a large number of organs.

The crystal has a particularly beneficial effect on the entire blood circulation. This positive effect is enhanced if you follow it up by taking an Ottoman steam bath with its pleasant radiant heat and the natural aromas which are absorbed by the steam.

Herbal bath

The beneficial effect of high humidity together with mild radiant heat was already appreciated back in the days of the Roman caldaria. In the herbal bath you’ll find yourself enveloped in the fragrance of fresh camomile and lavender which boost your physical and emotional sense of well-being.

Roman indoor pool

The underground passageway connecting to the Chasa Montana hotel also features a Roman-style indoor adventure pool which you can use. Take a deep breath, dive in and feel your body and mind restored.

The big glass front lets in a lot of light and sunshine and also offers wonderful views of the breathtaking Samnaun mountains. A state-of-the-art gym is located just opposite the pool.

Gym

The underground passageway connecting to the Chasa Montana hotel also features a gym which you can use.

The 150 m² gym features a special area for gymnastics and has the latest equipment. If required our staff will show you how to use the different exercise machines correctly and efficiently.

The gym will be closed for renovations from May 4 to July 12, 2009 – thank you for your understanding. Naturally, guests can enjoy full use of our own gym.

Drinking fountain

Our drinking water fountain is replenished with the famous Grander water. This invigorating water not only has a delicious taste, it also supplies the body with enormous vitality.

Tea bar: The tea bar is where you can always go for a choice of refreshing healthy teas

Library: Our library contains reading selections about good health and relaxation.

Snail shower with ice fountain

This is more than just a shower. Simple press a button to select your preferred programme: choose between a head shower, raindrop spray shower, flood shower, cold thundershower or an all-over massage shower. Use the crushed ice from the ice fountain to cool off after you’ve taken a sauna or steam bath.

Solarium

For a seamless all-year-round tan we offer you the very latest solarium - the Ergoline ‘Avantgarde’. One 15-min token CHF 19 / five 15-min tokens CHF 75

Brine steam bath

At the touch of a button the brine inhalation steam bath disperses a fine spray of sea salt brine. The addition of eucalyptus and mint provides additional cleansing and care of the entire respiratory area. Use of this special brine and steam technology creates the same kind of bioclimate you would get from a stay at the seaside.
